![]() Every writer has their inspirations, their list of authors that inspired them to write robust prose and beautiful poetry. My two inspirations come from the deviant mind of Alan Martin (writer of Tank Girl) and the drug-drenched cells of William S. Burroughs (author of Naked Lunch). Their fractured stories and fragmented sentences (often times making no sense whatsoever) leaves this writer with the inspiration to sit at a desk and put words on the page that eventually turn into scripts for The Space Odditorium. Often times writers sit down to write, but end up sitting and staring blankly at the computer screen, however the work of Martin & Burroughs provides me with hope. I've learned that it doesn't have to be perfect. My stories and sentences don't have to make sense. Golden coins on mountains of buttered balls. Nor here, not there. Time ends. These sentences make no sense, but in the senselessness there is meaning. Martin & Burroughs give us meaning in their senseless writing.
